Population

Ever feel like you’re under a lot of pressure? How do you think Mother Earth feels? The world’s population has risen to more than six billion people. That’s a lot of people! Like other living things, people need access to food, water, and shelter to live. And these are just the basics. As you can imagine, we’re putting considerable pressure on Earth’s resources, many of which, though seemingly in endless supply, are in fact finite. What can we do to promote the wise and sustainable use of Earth’s resources, and to ensure that these resources are available to people for generations to come? Click below for activities that focus on world population and on the role conservation can play in achieving a balance between people and resources.
